Joyspring Kennel
Breeding

Joyspring English Springer Spaniels

Our breeding program began over 20 years ago.
  • Our focus has been two fold - One part are health checks. OFA Orthopedic For Animals hips and elbows for our dogs.
  • Eye certification and clear of inherited eye diseases prior to breeding.
  • PFK Phosphofruktokinase Deficiency Clear
  • These are the primary health checks that we do with our dogs before even considering a breeding.
  • Our average age to breed a female is at 3-1/2 years old.
  • Our other main consideration is temperament. We want an excellent, well balanced temperament for our dogs.
  • We do produce hunting quality in a litter, but for the most part they do tend to look more like bench than field.
  • We want a dog that is versatile for hunting, obedience, and companionship. There can be show prospects in a litter as well.
  • Mainly, our goal is to produce a pup that you can live with, because no matter what, your dog will primarily be a companion.
  • We do sell our puppies with AKC papers on a limited registration.
  • Our next planned litter will be the spring of 2023 with our female Joyspring Dance On The Crimson Sunset CGC, CGCD, CGCU, TKDA “Scarlett”
